Q. I’m in a petrol station and I’ve put the wrong fuel in to my car – should I start it?

A. No, do not start your car. Although you probably won’t cause any long-term damage to your car, you will break down.

Q. I have only put 5 litres of the wrong fuel in my car. Can I get away with just putting some more diesel in and driving away?

A. Some cars will run OK with up to 5 litres of the wrong fuel in the tank if it’s then filled to the brim with the correct fuel; some will not. In our experience, it’s better to be safe than sorry, and get the incorrect fuel drained.

Q. I have a brand new car, will I be able to get it sorted?

A. Yes, you will. It doesn’t matter how old or new your car is, or what make it is, we have the equipment, experience, and the knowledge to get it fixed.

Q. What areas do you cover?

A. Wrongfuel.com and its agents cover most of the UK. For details of your nearest fuel drain technician just call 0800 634 9827.
