This August Bank Holiday is set to be a wheely-good weekend for those heading to CarFest South, so make sure you don’t miss out on this star-studded line-up!
Based at Laverstock Park Farm in Hampshire, this year’s festival will be hosted by the new Top Gear presenter, Chris Evans. Although we think he’s still finding his feet at his new job after putting petrol in a diesel car for the second time this year. Oops!
Luckily, if you find yourself in the same predicament as Chris on your way to or from the festival, Wrong Fuel will have you back on the road in next to no time. All of our technicians have been fixing wrongly fuelled cars for almost ten years, so you know you’re in safe hands!
Here are just a handful of reasons why you should buy yourself a ticket to CarFest 2015.
It’s Not Just for Motor Heads
Despite the title, there is an array of activities that you and your friends or family can get involved with.
The festival boasts musicians such as Jools Holland, Joss Stone and Paloma Faith in its line-up, as well as dancers on their stages.
There’s also a GoalFest area for sports, a beach, and a cakes vs pies competition. To see what else is going on, take a look at the CarFest What’s On section.
It’s for Charity
Last year, the wonderful people who attended CarFest managed to raise a staggering £1.5 million for BBC Children in Need.
Money is raised via ticket sales, car auctions, merchandise, and handing over your loose change throughout the festival.
So just by attending you can be happy in the knowledge that at least 25% of what you spend on a ticket is for a good cause!
It’s Fun for all the Family
Many young children have graced the grounds of CarFest from the shoulders of their parents, and they are encouraged to make a return each year.
There are a few things to consider, such as loud cars and music, however, so it’s a good idea to bring some ear protectors for your little ones to avoid harming their hearing. Music usually goes on until 10 or 11pm so you can decide whether that suits you and your children.
